  • To NucAvenged: Remastered doesn't mean better

Remastered doesn't mean better, and in many cases it is always worse. That being said, this album is touched up a little, mostly with the content that's only available in the deluxe edition. The live content is a shoddy in terms of quality though. But the overall content of this deluxe edition makes it a great buy for FNM fans. A vinyl edition of this is scheduled for an August release..

If you plan on purchasing this under the impression that this remastered SAVE YOUR money! The album is not remastered at all! I have the Definitive Very Best of (which has the shark on the cover") and after doing a sound comparison between the two I can say definitively that this is the original recording from the early 90's. If that's what you want then by all means buy this. But if you wanted this for same reason I did, to have the album re channeled so it sounds new then you will wind up where I am, severely disappointed. A few years ago I bought the first Type O Negative album from iTunes to find out that wasn't remastered at all, only the first and last songs were, they were culled from a previously released best of. This album doesn't even have that. Don't buy this!
