I was very happy to find this cd from my childhood (1967). I enjoyed listening to it then and again today.
  • Still beautiful!

In 1967, my honors English teacher played this for us as an example of a modern poet. It moved me to tears then. I just rediscovered it and it still has the same impact. Some of the most beautiful lines about love in all poetry... like , “You see how easily we fit together, as if God’s own hand had cradled only us.” The entire album is filled with thoughts of love from insecurities to perfection and all with the gorgeous accompaniment of the San Sebastián Strings. I don’t care how old you are -if you’re in love or have ever been in love, these works speak to your very soul.
  • Set back and relax.

I was stationed in Viet Nam back in 1970 when I was introduced to The Sea, The Sky and The Earth. I have been looking for these albums ever since. They took my mind away fromn the war and helped me get through it. I hope you will release the rest. Thanks

Recently had a conversation about Rod McKuen's poetry being set to music by the San Sebastián Strings. Was delighted to see ITunes had 2 of my favorite Albums ("For Lovers Only" is the other one). Would love to see "The Sky" on here. Thank you!

It really is time to bring back all the San Sebastian Strings albums with Rod McKuen. There is a great nostalgia for their sounds again and would surely attract more boomers who fondly remind them as well as the possibility of many new fans who value lost treasures like these.

The Earth, The Sea, The Sky, along with Lonesome Cities and The Single Man were among the first 33-1/3 records I ever purchased. Rod McKuen was a great love poet and I enjoyed many evenings listening to these classics. I would appreciate bringing some of the others back as well.
  • I still live it!
