Gretchen Peters has been making me cry ever since I discovered her music -not necessarily because her songs are sad (some are), but because great artistry fills me with emotion. This new album is full of wonderful moments, amazing songwriting, beautiful voices and music. She's not limited by genre... indeed, she transcends classification in any genre. Her music is simply the best you'll want to hear and feel.
  • Songwriters' Songwriter

I had the great pleasure to see this phenomenal performer in a small club near Nashville (Green's Grocery?) circa 1997 and I was certain I was watching a country superstar about to happen. While superstardom eluded GP, then, this great album demonstrates that her astounding artistry continues unabated. Gretchen Peters is at the heart of the matter the Songwriters' Songwriter and like legendary artists like Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen--it doesn't matter who notices or not. Great art will find its way and its audience. So this is your chance to hear another great collection of songs by "ther orginal artist" before they become famous by someone else.

Now, this is what a Grammy worthy album should sound like. Great lyrically, great performance, and soul squeezing. Gretchen has the unique ability to pull from herself in very transparent ways seldom heard today. Great job!!!

Outdid yourself. Love it. Now how will I ever be able to listen to any other music?
  • All this talent and a class act, too.

Gretchen Peters must be the most famous "unknown" singer/songwriter that I know. People don't recognize her name, but recognize so many great songs that she's written for other artists. Now, she has written some of her greatest music yet and put it on her own album. Click. Buy. Listen. Love.

With a stunning follow-up to the critically acclaimed Goodbye Cruel World, Gretchen Peters again demonstrates why she is one thing of the most talented singer/songwriters. Powerful.
