The iTunes description says Boston show but this is the Los Angeles show. Amazing compositions with new life. Whenever King Crimson goes in a new innovative direction I am always aware due to my initial uncomfortable-ness with the sounds. Then, my ears open up to innovation. Great live work.

After 30 years, Adrian Belew’s virtuosity has become such an essential element of the King Crimson sound, that his non-presence makes this album feel less “elemental." Still, it’s a tribute to Robert Fripp’s ingenuity that he attempted to fill the void created by Belew’s absence with 4 new musicians. However, even with three drummers, guitarist Jakko Jakszyk, and the triumphant return of saxophonist Mel Collins, this incarnation of the Crimson Beast seems a trifle contrived, and somehow, dare I say, even bit flaccid. Yes, the production quality is good and the performance is technically precise, but I guess I was hoping for more THRAK than clickity-clak. Here’s hoping Robert gave Adrian a temporary “time out” instead of throwing him under the bus.

I saw the second night in Boston and found the new lineup slow and boring. Also, the Boston show was not at the Orpheum, unless you go back to 2005 or so.

Anything on I-Tunes by King Crimson is a blessing but this release is so low in audio scope is a dissapointment to me. Can't believe this wasn't mixed better.

I am SO SAD(!) …that I had to miss this concert… This life I have occasionally been known to refer to as “Mine” has been Very Happily …informed… by the music-&-philosophy issuing forth from “That Fripp” and all his 'League of Merrye Colleagues.' AND(!), it would have been possible for me to attend this concert as I live in Los Angeles as, the ORPHEUM THEATER IS IN LOS ANGELES - on Broadway, f’Grid’s-sake, you iTunes Flacks who ignorantly wrote that this happened in Boston. Jeez, you’ve got the albums own liner notes to read that DO happen to mention that the performance was in Los Angeles. And yup, I drive by this theater several times a day and, it sure is in Los Angeles on Broadway. Fact check, please, beFORE you post!

The Orpheum Theatre at which I attended one of these excellent shows is actually LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, not Boston. Achallenging set; but that's what we all expected when we went in, right. I did miss Adrian Belew's melodic take on Prog, as well as Bill Bruford unconventional style. Glad I was there...in L.A.

Any Crimson is welcome but the new lineup is sorely lacking without Belew. Also, 41 minutes? Fans deserve the full show. This album is an utter disappointment.

The performances are mind blowing. The way Robert conceived the drummers as the front line is just brilliant and incredibly original. This is an amazing group of musicians and, despite there being seven members, nothing feels superfluous. The band truly plays as one.

Of course this will be great. King Crimson are the perfect band, this is a mere taste of their wonderful music. iTunes only has a small selection of King Crimson albums to choose from, so this should be fun to listen to.
