Living Water: An Offering from C3 Denton - EP

This is a well written, performed and recorded album by a group of talented songwriters from Denton, TX. Coming out of a city known for its music school and jazz scene, this collection of songs resists being academic or traditional in any manner. It is innovative, fresh, and most importantly worshipful. The most important characteristic of these songs is the fact that they exalt Jesus Christ. Some are based on great hymns of the Faith, while others are true originals. All are creative, non-cliché, and accessible while at the same time remaining somewhat outside of the Christian mainstream. If you want to broaden your musical palate, enjoy some great tunes, and be uplifted in your faith, then I highly recommend this album. I look forward to hearing more from this community.

This CD is absolutely amazing! The vocals are on spot, and the harmony is great. All the songs are so genuinely performed; it's incredible to hear such talented people sing for such a good reason. I love this music; "Truly You Are the Son of God" is so sweet and so real, it's one of my favorites. I enjoy being able to hear others sing with love. Every aspect of the album seems to be perfectly and systematically engineered to beautifully represent musical ability and passion these musicianas have for the Lord.

My family and I really enjoy the worship songs from Living Water. The lyrics heighten our affections for Jesus and ground us in God’s great love for us through His Son.

Seth Ely’s “Truly, You are the Son of God” is a wonderful song that draws toward Jesus every time I hear it. “Good Man” is a sweetly stern call to worship Jesus as He is, delivered with incisiveness and clarity. There’s not a weak song on this record. Some of the songs are great for congregational worship, others for simply listening to and drawing near to God through. Check this record out!

This record is beautiful on so many levels. The music, everything from arrangement to performance, is rich and well done. The simplicity of the lyrics reveal a depth of insight that is profoundly biblical and human at the same time. This is music for broken people who need to be reminded of the sweetness of Jesus. It's also incredibly singable. The harmonies are just killer. "Truly You Are the Son of God" should be known and sung by everyone. It's that good, and it's rare that I don't tear up when listening to it. "Like a Little Bird" as well: simple as a nursery rhyme, deep as the Gospel. This is a song that makes you happy on different levels. It's fun to sing, and the message takes that joy deeper. "As the Deer" is an anthem for those who WANT to want God. "Good Man" replaces the modern day view of Jesus with something even better. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do!
