Saw Israel Nash at Bumbershoot in Seattle over 2015 Labor Day weekend, was very impressed and so bought this record via iTunes afterwards, a very nice record especially as says in the editors review, sort of old Neil Young-esq.

I was early for a doctor's appointment and happened to catch his SXSW KGSR session at the Four Seasons so I sat in the car for 30 minutes because I couldn't stop listening! I imediately bought this album, like many others it's rare I'll purchase the entire album but this one is good all the way through. I'm a child of the 80's but was very much exposed to 70's music from my parents. Now I appreicate it so much more and there's something about it that I'm drawn to, especially folks like Neil Young, America, CSNY etc. Isreal Nash is so similar but it's refreshing to hear from an artist today. Such great songwriting and an organic simplicity to it that I've enjoyed it while driving the backroads of the hill country as well as with a cold beer watching a sunset.

... is absolutely superb from beginning to end. In one of the recent KEXP sessions, the thought of this album being "gold, pure and familiar" is discussed. I completely agree. Everything in this album brings back memories of the best from 70's era classic and country rock, yet has its own unique flavor and appeal. Easily one of the best rock albums of the 2000s.
  • Throwback!

It's like Neil Young songs written by CSN, sung by Young and Brian Wilson's baby, and in the tone of Beck's Morning Phase. Rich sounds. Big fan.
  • Not a dull song!

I haven't purchased an album that's truly worth spending the money to get the whole album since probably the grateful dead or Led Zeppelin. This guy NEEDS to make it big because he could be the leader for the young generation to get back into mellow rock. If he keeps making stuff that's this good, the sky's the limit

An absolutely gorgeous album. Sounds like a cross between CSNY and ‘70s country rock.
