The Peter Gunn theme is one of the most recognisable and much-loved jazz tunes ever written, and deservedly so. Less well-known is the rest of the music Mancini wrote for the TV show, all of which is fantastic. There have been other recordings, but this one takes it up more than a few notches. If you're a fan of cool jazz, don’t hesitate - get this album. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic recording of a classic score. I love Mancini and I have the original, but this might replace it. Great big brassy band sound with serious jazz players. The music just leaps off the page. I love it. Harmonie Ensemble/New York rocks it or “swings” it.
