It's definitely not going to be for everyone, but I love it!

Since Lou Reed died, Neil Young is the only popular rock artist making consistently interesting and meaningful, surprising music for grownups.
  • An Artistic Choice - Remember Those?

I'm amazed at all the bad reviews for an album that was made as an artistic choice by an artist with nothing to prove to anyone. It was made for those who get that concept. Clearly the iPod/iPhone generation who review here don't have a clue. If you like artists who share songs that are personal and meaningful and are recorded in such a manner to reflect a time and place that has long since passed, then this will be of interest to you. If you're looking for Harvest - Part II or Rust Never Sleeps - Part II, then you probably don't get it. Instead, go and download some of the packaged and over-produced "product" that passes for music by some pretty face who possess little or no ability to even attempt an artistic statement.

Neil Young is my all-time favorite R&R icon and one of his past songs describes this outing perfectly - "Piece of Crap". Fodder like this, however, will not deter me from looking forward to his next piece of work.

Only Neil Young could pull this off and make me love it. What a contrast to his work with PONO! Keep it up Neil!!!

wow a valley shaped ratings curve. All respondents either loved or hated it. I liked it. I love Neil and this was different. Neil bored? not very likely! Great renditions of the songs. The videos even played on my sony blue ray player.
  • Imagine you're sitting in Neil's living room...

...and he's just fooling around on the guitar, playing these great songs for you. WOW! A refreshing change from all the over-produced, re-recorded, studio modified, dubbed-to-death crap out there. Thank you Neil!
