Ash St. John's "Dreams Made Real" is an outstanding representation of what his dreams are made of. At first listen you find his songs to be friendly to the ear, a tasteful simplicity I feel that will appeal to the masses. But once you've let the album spin a few times, a half a dozen times, and several times more, you realize that simple aural aesthetic is actually quite layered, and purposefully executed with each song's story. Ash is a master musician, and an equally as talented story teller through his songs. This album offers something to everyone despite your favorite genre of music. If you're predominantly a fan of the singer/songwriter, folk-ish genre, this album is written for you. Guitar players across the board will find Ash's playing style to be inspiring. Vocalists and/or lyricists will appreciate Ash's style in the way he tells his stories genuine.
