Conor's lyrics are again, as always, in top form. He is by far the best songwriter out there, and has been for a long time.

I love this album- particularly Desert Island Questionnaire, You are Your Mother's Child and Kick. The cover art by Ian Felice of The Felice Brothers is incredible as well.

I love this album so much. I thinks it's my one favorites of his solo work. Artifact #1 is my favorite song on the album. He sounds a bit more like M. Ward which is pretty groovy.

I've been listening to Conor Oberst since Fevers and Mirrors in the 9th grade and I'm 27 now. He has always been able to bring out my deepest and darkest emotions. I hope he never stops writing music. I love that he's been making music for this long and he's famous enough for people to love him but not known well enough for people to call him "overrated, mainstream or a sellout" If you buy this album or any of his albums than you get it and kudos to you. I hope that his fans keep his legend alive long afer he's gone....

This album is heart-wrenching beautiful. There are so many great songs on it. “You are your mother’s child” made me cry. It is such an intimate album–I feel like Oberst truly bares his soul for the very first time. And his lyrics are impeccable. Get this.
- Worth the purchase and then continue to listen to it

Great album. Definitely different than some of his other work. It is very obvious that he has found a way to be happy.
