Korby's music is, as I have found it to be, an acquired taste. It may take a listen or two to or three to really get a hold on who this stuffed-piranha and bow-tied character is; but once that character is acquired, y'all better watch out. The songs on this record have had a knack for going down and plucking the nostalgic strings of my heart, sort of like a good cup of organic, single-origin chemex coffee--you're not sure why it's so good, and maybe you wouldn't have understood and appreciated it's worth as a younger person, but for some reason, the coffee just takes you to church. Korby's music is like that. I think. Just buy the blinkin' record!

It's not often you encounter music that is both mature and fun to listen to. Korby Lenker's self-titled album is the latest [forbidden] fruit of a decades-long career in music. From the deceptively fun-sounding but ultimately pensive Hurts Me So, to the heartfelt and poetic If I Prove False To You (try putting that one on a mix tape for your significant other and getting a less than positive reaction), there is something for everybody in these ten songs. Songs like the charming and playful My Little Life, and Got to Be More are, in my opinion, the undiscovered ballads of the Millennial Generation. Some Googling will reveal that Korby has opened for the likes of Willie Nelson, Ray LaMontagne, Nickel Creek, Keith Urban and many others, as well as solo touring across the country. Do yourself a favor and listen to one of the best artists you've never heard of.

I love Korby Lenker's new CD. Every track on the album makes me want to sing along. Korby is an excellent songwriter and storyteller. His singing and guitar playing are beautiful. Love the ukelele too.

give yourself - and your ipod - a treat and get this new cd from Mr Korby Lenker!!! a great collection of songs and a big mix of styles and sounds - korby will have you singing along and riding with the windows down and the slow it down for a soft quiet listen - a fun cd from a major music talent that i hope many people will hear!!!
