The music is mostly relaxing and perfect for the background of a fine restaurant or informal dinner party. But don’t get me wrong, the music would be as excellent in the foreground of a live performance– a risk I’d willingly take given the opportunity. What’s compelling about this collection is that it’s as good a jazz album for the Elton novice as it an Elton album for the jazz novice. Try cuts 4 or 7, and read my full review at my handle.
