Al Koleon has done it again; this time with his third installment of the G.E.D. series. As one of the coldest emcees in Chicagoland, his mark in the Hip-Hop industry will definitely strike a nerve with rappers who claim to be the best. Al Koleon hits you immediately with lyrical fury with the head-bobbin’ joint “Case Closed.” His signature “blat” and “ooooweee” will have you rewinding this favorite over and over. The track “Homicide” gives a shout out to Da Region (Gary, IN, East Chicago), Jersey, and New York. “Treated” and “Came Up” both feature Outfitt Music’s very own Untouchable 1 who delivers vicious bars on the trap-style joints. “Real Life” and “Pain In The Ghetto” are events that hit close to the heart, and “Bet You Do” features Gary Indiana’s own Freddie Gibbs. “Walk Away” is a tune all men will relate to, “Freak In You” is a hypnotic composition with a catchy chorus, and “Su Amor” is a Reggaeton gem, but for me, “Hip Hop’s Baby” takes the cake. On this joint, Al Koleon pays homage to the old school emcees that paved the way, and features a cameo from platinum-producer, Chicago’s own Legendary Traxster. The last track “But Me” features Bump J and Al Koleon murdering the music. G.E.D. 3 is by far, Al Koleon’s best effort to date. His infectious delivery and quick-witted metaphors separates him from most of the industry competition out right now. If you’re looking for one CD to bang this year, snag this one up now!!
