Entertaining, funny and at times, touching. Jeff Daniels does an amazing job of walking that line between actor and guy who can sing and play guitar. I cannot stop listening to this. I laugh I cry and then I play it again! Momma Never Left Her Youngest and Kathy are my two favorites and the Recreational Vehicle song is better then most stand up comedy routines!! Glad I found Mr. Daniels music!!

Have seen Mr Daniels a couple times up here in Northern Michigan, and each time it is a true pleasure. he is a true entertainer, and plays the crowd perfect. He is an amazing guitarist, and has amazing stage personality.
If you ever have the chance to see Jeff live, you will not regret It one moment.

I've always been a fan of Jeff Daniels, the actor, so I was a bit surprised to hear he would be appearing at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the 2009 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan.
Mr. Daniels chose "Michigan, My Michigan" during his soundcheck, and I thought it was fantastic. There aren't a lot of songs written about the State of Michigan, and this is certainly a track that celebrates the heritage and beauty of the Great Lakes region. Mr. Daniels has a fine voice as well, and it was great to see him get some well deserved exposure as a vocal talent.
I'm a fan.

It turns our Jeff is a really talented man. I mean by that in more ways then just his acting ability. These self written and performed songs are always entertaining and in some cases touching. In one of his songs he mocks actors who think they can sing, but, he really can do it and do it quite well. As a fellow Michigander I might be accused of bias, and as it turns out I discovered Jeff's talent by accident when I downloaded his song Michigan My Michigan. I'm really glad for that happy accident since it helped my add these very good songs to my library. Listen and you'll buy!

This album showcases two of Daniels' great gifts: a gift for making people laugh, and a gift for great music. My husband and I first heard Daniels perform two of these tracks on a public radio station program and we laughed so hard, we thought we'd hurt ourselves. Give it a try. Plus, money from the sale of the album goes to a very worthy cause - a performing arts center in Daniels' home state.

Just an awesome recording! I always enjoyed Jeff's movies, but his music is the best. Wonderful guitar playing with his story telling lyrics makes for some very good songs. Check out his new CD if you like this one, but better yet, go see him live. He puts on one kickin' show!

I had the pleasure of seeing Jeff Daniels in concert at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor over Thanksgiving weekend. A "Michigan" oriented concert, it featured a few of the songs on this album. Like many others, I had no idea what I would experience in terms of Jeff's musical abilities... I was thrilled with what I heard, he could "give up his day job" and turn to music.
Fun, talented, and very much worth listening to!
