Yes frankie did write the song his neighbor just gave him a poem but frankie and another member from the teenagers worked together to find the rhythm to the song.....and the album is great!!!!!

Actually Frankie, Herman, and the other teenagers wrote the song together. It's just that Herman was the lead singer of the group when it came out.

I was 12 years old when, why do fools fall in love came out..........every time its was on 1010 wins the rock station here in NY..that itroduced it by the way...thanks to Alan Freed it was..played it on the AM dial of course there was no FM yet......... I was glued to my transistor radio.......this was one of the first groups that I learned to love because of their unique style, and ofcouse the magic of Frankie......I saw them in concert ... and I can tell you, that these Itune recordings are as close as youll ever get to hearing their wonderful music..as I did in the NY Paramount, all those years ago.....rock on and enjoy.....!!

i saw this movie a couple weeks ago and fell in love with frakie's voice! i mean at such a young age to have such a crisp sound and his control is awesome! love goody goody and ABC's...best ones! New Big Fan!!!

Frankie Lymon was a seriously talented young man! long live great music! my favorite one on this is the little known "i'm not a know it all". it's a great song, just like all the rest of these are. yay for doo-wop!

Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers are one of the best groups ever. How can you not love them. "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" is such a great song, the harmonies are beautifully well done. When you here it, it makes you want to get up and start dancing. "The ABC's Of Love" is also one of their best. "Baby Baby" is one that you just can't help but love. "Goody Goody" This is the song that Frankie Lymon throws down dancing. "Liitle Bitty Pretty One" is a very exciting song. All of their songs are exciting and they make you want to dance. You can just tell by listening to them that they really felt their music and that they were really into it.
