A classic example of mid-ninties, sincere, life-referencing, heart-felt hip-hop. Cons: Repetitive. Drug reference laden. So-so audio production. Pros: Simple, catchy, easy to groove to beats and rhymes. One of the best examples of *true* hip-hop you will ever come across. It's like the audio version of an old movie before it gets the MST3K treatment; you'll award it cult status for what it is, or you will run screaming back to your "nu-skool", gangsta-by-numbers crap.
