- Horrid 74 remaster

Just buy the original CD if you can. So much was lost in this remaster that I cringe. Eno put too much work in this album to have its subtle portions just removed.

This highly original album was his first as a solo artist, and he has gone on to make many great albums. "Some of Them are Old" and "Here Come The Warm Jets", which finish off the album, are two of my favorite songs from the 1970s.
If you like this work, you'll like his other 3 rock albums from the 70's as well as his duo with John Cale "Wrong Way Up" and his 2005 rock album "Another Day On Earth."

This is a rare thing: beautiful, shimmering, and electric to the core. Eno is an acknowledged genius and, I would argue, he is never more brilliant than he is on this album. Not only is it an incredible album in its own right it clearly lays the groundwork for countless brilliances to follow, from Bowie to Talking Heads to Of Montreal. how there are only eight reviews of this on iTunes is a mystery as this is a keystone album in rock-and-roll history.
