I've been a fan of Mr. Dunnery's for years and he's getting better with time. His music and lyrics are as good as any being done in the English language and the Gully Flats is epic! Brian Powell Philadelphia

For the FD lover, this is a capstone. GFB evidence's Francis's maturity, sincerety...and maestro status. If you are new to FD, there is no better entrance into his music -- this experience -- you now begin. You'll find these lyrics in your subconcious when you wake, they will seamlessly weave into your experiences. It will rapidly rise to an all time favorite.

Nobody sings Dunnery like Dunnery. In fact , come to think of it, I've rarely heard anybody try. Which is a shame because his songs, of which this collection is a sterling example, have to be amongst the best crafted, emotionally satisfying of any of the contemporary 'singer songwriters'. In truth, his songs perhaps "just aren;t made for these times " - they harken back to an era of pop music where truth and perceptive observation outranked spectacle and titlation.
