Levon Helm until his solo record Dirt Farmer won a Grammy, but he has been making great music long before that. As the heart and soul (in my opinion) of The Band, he was a man of many talents and played and sang from the heart. Electric Dirt is a wonderful example of the talent this man possesed. He oozed Country with Rock and some Bluegrass into a style that is pretty much his own. I highly recommend this record as well as Dirt Farmer if you want to listen to something truly wonderful and original. R.I.P. Levon, you are sorely missed but your music will carry on because the real deal always will. God bless.
