J Loren's brilliance shines through with every song on this album. If you are looking for a band that has one sound, and no dimension, HURT is NOT for you. If you would like a band that does not evolve over a period of 15 years, HURT is NOT for you. If you would like to pretend that you are OG HURT, kick rocks dude, HURT is not for you. On the other hand, if you would like a metaphorically inclined, theory driven, passionate band, HURT is for YOU!

I have and will always support the band. Purchased every album and seen them live. They are certainly one of the best talents in the rock genre but sadley, they never seem to get the credit that they deserve. Either way, Hurt is a band that will always do what they do best with each new album, ....continue to make inspirational and deeply soothing emotional music. Rock on.

Hurt has been my favorite band for some time now, but it seems that with each new CD their style has become closer to the average sound of the times. After Vols 1 and 2, each album has slowly sounded less and less like what Hurt sounds like. This current album is the worst of that trend yet, most songs are simplistic, generic and well just feel like the band just put out a CD because they had too. Still decent, but a sad departure from what this band once was.
