Thursday Afternoon is a work of genius. It occupies the part of your mind that wants to stop doing writing or art or science and go check out your Facebook wall. A wonderful contribution to intellectual creativity. Enzo deserves a medal.

I used to listen to Thursday Afternoon on repeat while doing Linear Algebra homework in college. You hear its nothingness a half-dozen times, then you realize: there are moments in it that you can now recognize; moments as clear as your name being called out loud, each and every time the CD repeats. Moments that are special; even joyous. Not long after, the repetition feels like it was the intent of the piece from the very beginning, and listening to Thursday Afternoon again will start to seem like one of the most profoundly worthwhile uses of your time you can imagine.

Like Beethoven, Brian Eno will be known throughout history as one of the most influential of all composers. Thursday Afternoon is his Symphony #9.

It sseems so easy when I listen to these pieces of Eno's, but who else can find that space between soothing, and edgy? Thin air and substance? No one. Put this on and work in a wonderfully productive mood for an hor.

Long and wonderful. An hour-long piece just wish I could bring myself to buy it. Brian Eno has a great library of these sorts of works. Will favorite it on Pandora and wait for it to come around again.

This a piece of heaven. Been a fan of Eno for many years and this is one of the best.
