Y’all should be thanking Mr. John Parr for recording and distributing his trademark song individually on ITunes vs. the total “St. Elmo’s Fire” download whole album to play his song! Oh and also you can download the Love theme 4 this movie by David Foster for .99-1.29 as well! Quit yo whining and grow da F up.
  • Too funny!

To those saying this is the closest to original offered by iTunes without purchasing entire soundtrack: Search "St. Elmo's fire (man in motion)" that version the vocals are very strong. I confess I only have seen that film once loved it but I searched this song bc of the deadpool 2 teaser released lol

This version is much weaker vocally. His voice is not as strong as the original 80's production. It has been 30 years after all.
  • Awesome song

Very awesome song and also really inspirational. It's not quite the original version, but very close.

Sounds pretty close to the oringal, usually these type of remakes are pretty lame. In this case, the movie was ok, but i think the song might better then the movie, but don't get me wrong, love me some good ol' 80's classics. Breakfast club, Ferris b day off and don't forget about porkys. Back to the music, why don't they just charge double for some of these "album" only songs.I'd pay 2.00 -2.60 for it. And while where at it, these 'long" songs, like over 10.00 min, same as i said earlier, i'd pay double for some of those song's also, Itunes, hope your paying attention to your customer's, thanks for listening, i'll probably end up buying this song, out.

I don't know why you have to buy the whole album for the original song...hate that.

I thought this was an okay version of the 80's classic but I wish the original version would be available, I thought it was one of the best songs of the 80's
  • Close but no cigar...

This is the new version of this classic 80's anthem John's voice is strong and there are a few subtle changes but this is a good version. It is a shame that you have to buy the soundtrack ($9.99) to get the original version. Way to go iTunes!
