Gretchen captured my heart when I heard her sing ¨Holding back the year¨, which was a song I grew up on in the 80´s. Now to her it in such a soulful and sensual remake, it took me by surprise. The Blue Eye soul sister got vocals…Can´t wait to her more of her music.

I had the distinct pleasure and hot of seeing Ms. Parlato and band at Lawrence University in Appleton Wisconsin. A perfectly sized small auditorium for the elegantly understated style of her performance. In a time when so many are looking to be older, her vocals are simple, quiet, and elegant. The included video of her performance in clouded in the iTunes version makes this album a steal. It captures the live feel of the excellent band and the vocals well. A great introduction or addition to your GP library. Wonderful performances.
