After checking out a quick sample of "Bright Blue Day" and "Gutter" on his Facebook page, I found the teasers quite appealing and wanting more. Aaron Lohr has a amazing bluesy voice that brings this album to life. I was happy to see the entire album available for purchase. After purchasing the album and listening to his entire work, I feel we will not be hearing the last from him. Worth the money!

Introduced to the entertainment world at a young age, Aaron Lohr has had much success in TV, film, and stage. Many still fondly remember him from his early work in several Disney films (Newsies, The Might Ducks series, and the singing voice of Max in A Goofy Movie). However, as he matured, so did the breathe of his work. Working along side some of the titans of the Broadway world, his musical repertoire even included a memorable turn in the beloved Pulitzer, Grammy and Tony award winning stage work turn film RENT. Yet, the sudden loss of a loved one spawned Aaron’s transition into a new chapter of his life, beginning with a period of introspection, which, subsequently, resulted in this captivating debut album. Aaron's ability to address his inner conflict through his lyrics and music, evident in songs like "Gutter" and "Confusion", will no doubt appeal to listeners who can identify with loss and love. His smooth soulful voice and tender heart evoke a time when the moniker 'singer/songwriter' had to be earned and they serve him especially well in songs like "Miquela". A clear-eyed reflection and optimism are most evident in songs like “Dive In Your Mind” and the album title track "Bright Blue Day". Aaron's unique mixture of rock, blue-eyed soul, and contemporary pop music manages to convey an exciting emotional journey that is easily relatable, yet uniquely personal, and ultimately unforgettable.
