Holy mother of Blue Cheer! A band that gets what the vibe and heaviness of this genre shld sound like. I can't tell you how bored I get of all these crappy stoner rock bands (Fu Manchu and Nebula not included) ripping off BC's sound hoping they'll naturally channel their spirit which they don't. FUZZ gets it right on all accounts.

Reminds me of Cream (on amphetamines) at times with vocals reminiscent of rob zombie and even...Kurt Cobain!
  • Kinda' mind-blowing.

I'm pretty sure Ty, Charlie and Roland did not set out to remake Black Sabbath's debut album. That said - the Fuzz record crosses the gloom-and-doom master's path frequently. And Cream's. And Mudhoney's. But hey - it's all heavy and good, right? Influences and similarities aside - this record scorches from the get-go. If, like me, you just assume Ty drums because, well, he can do whatever he wants, you're wrong. He really nails it, playing it his way. Everything about this record sounds like it was recorded in 1970 - from the guitar effects to the amplifier hum to the bass solo. The closing instrumental track One can not possibly be played too loud.

Fuzz lives up to its name , and heavy fuzz it is. Almost too heavy for proto metal ( if that's possible) vocals sound like budgie or moses if you want to get obscure. Dust off that old air guitar!

One of the best Ty Segall-related projects yet. Charlie Moothart (Charlie and the Moonhearts, Ty Segall Band) carries this album with his scorching guitar solos and unbelievable playing, with Ty handling vocals and drums, the latter of which sounds fantastic here. Roland Cosio (Epsilons, Charlie and the Moonhearts) closes out the trio with some really tight bass-playing. The three meld perfectly and make something top-notch, easily capable of blowing your face off in a single song.

The record store by my house got this a few days early and I've been listening to it nonstop. If you like any of the tracks individually, you'll like the entire album. Not a bad track in the bunch. And if you like this album, you should also check out Ty Segall Band- Slaughterhouse. It's basically the same band.
  • Watch out for the Fuzz!

I just found this band, listened to some of there new stuff, and it sounds like classic rock from the early 70s. Good stuff, not to many bands like this anymore, but this sound of music seems to be coming back love it!
