I was just a kid when i went to my local record store to look for the newest missing persons record and for some reason i picked this LP up. i was always looking at cool drummer photos from rock books (copeland/phillips/cobham/peart) and was a drummer in the beginning stages of development. this record taught me more than i expected. i learned groove and space and fast, press rolls etc... the most exciting part of the record is the drum solo where billy displays the quiet passion of a genius drummer on the splash/bell cymbal tree and moves onto a raging snare, bass, toms section that goes deep into groove and polyrhythm.
