Natural Disaster - Single

Being an SF local, I've had to good fortune to watch both Roem and this song develop live in the City! This is on top of my playlists for the season - it's a song with bigger heart and soul than the world is used to these days!

Roem's newest single "Natural Disaster" offers a thrilling peek into his newest EP, leaving me excited for more. Within it we can hear the threads of soul-folk that, for me, characterizes Roem's music and makes it stand out among others. At the same time, rock takes a front seat, the richness of the full band and the rawness of Roem's voice lead to a chorus that's catchy without being trite, and the mixed genre keeps listeners engaged through to the end. What a wonderful jam - every listen offers something new to discover!

Bay Area R&B, that wonderful fusion of neo-Motown and meaningful singer/songwriter lyrics that is distinguishing our local music. Roem Baur is a major proponent and this song is a prime example, a gem of the form! The unrelenting energy, the horns (the musicians are all superior players) and Roem's incredible soulful voice drive this song into the depths of you and move you from the inside out! It's a hit for certain!
