  • Great music....OK sound

Don't be fooled..Yea, I'm about the music, of course, but the sound..well, not quite right. I would rank this as an excellent audience recording. Compared to Vol 1. this just doesn't hold up. Vocals are too low in the mix, bass is loose and the snare drum is more of a thud than a crisp snap. Listen to the samples. Overall, solid performance, but this is not a gold standard mix.

This is a great set from start to finish! Jerry’s backup vocalists, and the amazing organ skills of Melvin Seals really give this set a great soulful feeling. One of my new favorite JGB albums!

Great quality SBD recording and a pretty darn good set list but the 90s were not kind to Mr. G - and of course we know the decade did not end well for him.
  • Poor Quality

Even with the addition of Bela Fleck on many songs this CD is a disappointment to me. While the music sounds OK, the singing is so low that in some points you can barely hear Jerry. The music all seems to be up a bit high so the instruments kind of drown each other out. Jerry's solos are crisp but all-in-all I'm truly disappointed from a soundboard recording. To me the quality ranks up there with that of a good audience recording. It frequently sounds like an audience recording taped inside a music hall or arena. I think they only reason this show was chosen was because of Bella Fleck, aside from that it's a fairly lackluster show and a subpar recording. Nowhere near as good as Vol. 1 in my humble opinion!

Must own. Jerry was up for it this night. Sublime melodies.

This show has never been around on SDBD. The Greek always sucked for AUD recordings. The Bela songs are the obviously highlights. Jerry just kept smiling from ear to ear during the songs. Great memories!

This is a must own for all heads. Sweet soundboard, tight night for the band!
  • Even Better than Vol 1

Well it was a feat, but Volume 2 officially surpassed the set list on Vol 1. And the rich soundboard quality is continued to equal perfection. My suggestion - get both volumes if you've not purchased either yet!!!
