- Good Collection But Bad Sound Quality

I had this Rascals “Greatest Hits” on vinyl years ago and it sounded great. Listening to these songs today makes them sound very tinny due to so much information lost because of being low quality 256kbps music files.

- Track 8: I've Been Lonely Too Long

Track 8: I've Been Lonely Too Long is a corrupt file. The song is only 2:08 and shows to be 3:01 creating issues during playback. In fact I think this has been the cause of another issue I've experienced with syncing my iTunes library with my iPhone.

There are better greatest hits Rascal albums than this that include the seminal "pgtbf" and others but i'll tell you what's so special about this album....I've always loved the album cover!

Purchased this album a few weeks ago and today was the first time I have had a chance to really sit down and listen to it. Only 3 songs on it are in stereo. Now I wouldn't mind if the originals were mono, but I had the record and 8 track tape years ago and they were both in stereo originally. You would think in this sophisticated digital age it would be easy to reproduce original stereo in stereo. Don't expect to hear "1-2-3" in stereo on "Good Lovin'" as it was on the original. Ain't gonna happen with this offering. WOULD NOT PURCHASE GIVEN A SECOND CHANCE.

This is one of my favorite albums of all time. What a disappointment to learn that all of these songs are the AM radio versions that have been shortened… they're not the full length versions.
Buyer beware.

Time Peace is the very best of the "best of " albums by the Rascals. Felix and the boys were a big part of the Ny area club scene and then they dominated the aor radio in the late 60's early 70's. This ia a time capsule of that era. Some songs are in glorious mono, just as we heard it on our transistor radios or in uor VW bugs. Excellent lp @ a excellent price( a dollar more than when it was released "back in the day")

Back in the 60's, I worked with The Rascals in a small club in NYC called The Peppermint Lounge, this was before Atlantic records signed them, back then it was very common for clubs to book two bands at a time so they had live music all night. I remember like it was yesterday we flipped a coin with Felix to see who would go on first, this way if you win you get out of there earlier. They won the toss and did the first set. I was a drummer and whenever you work with another band you always hope that you sound a little better. We were one of the top club bands in NJ at the time. Well, me and the bass player came out and stood on the side of the stage when they were tuning up. They opened up their set with Felix's arrangement of "Slow Down"...I looked at our bass player and said "Whoa what the fu-k is this? They were dressed just like the cover of their first album, with them sitting on Felix's B-3. I knew we were in trouble. We were noted for our five part harmony, and we used to do a Moody Blues show that came off great. These guys had that east coast sound that was starting to becme popular. The Fudge came out,The Vagrants,The Hassles who Billy Joel played keyboard for. We knew that night that these guys were on their way. It wasn't long after that night that Atlantic signed them and Artie Resnick wrote Good Lovin' for them and Eddies brother David produced them. Thanks for reading.
