This is definitely the best Smith Westerns album. The songs stick with you, the melodies haunt you, and the lyrics make it something better than great.

I like this band, but I wish I could love them. I like their melodies and guitar sounds, my only complaint is vocals. He's a good singer... I just wish he would sing stronger. I like all the songs except the last two. They're a little weak. All around though, they're good!

Since hearing "Weekend" on Dye It Blonde, I've been stuck on SW. The sprite, smart guitar hooks are brilliant. They remind of George Harrison's best songs. "Soft Will" wouldn't be my pick for an album title, but this is a stronger album than their last one.

loved dye it blonde. and although i love a couple tracks off this album (varsity, fool proof, 3am spiritual) the rest falls flat in comparison. sounds like a bunch of coldplay/u2/oasis rip offs without adding anything new. sorry.
