A nobody that wants to be a somebody. By dogging Oliver Anthony won’t get you there so give it up.
  • Great tunes. I love the lyrics.

You can tell a lot of heart and soul went into these songs. I’m an instant fan.

This man is a tool with crappy music and now trying to ride tucker carlsons coat tails for publicity. This man is a joke

Clearly starting an album off with a song like “cover me up” is like throwing a Molotov cocktail into your speakers for what’s about to follow - great songwriting, great voice, incredible guitars - I love every track. “But home was a dream, one I’d never seen, til you came along...”. My god. It’s just perfectly crafted.

Driving down the road the other day, Cover Me Up came on. I knew in 1 syllable I had to have the album - not just sing - the entire album. It does not disappoint...and best if listened to start to finish. This guy is an amazing songwriter. I’d call him a poet.

I had never heard of Jason Isbell until introduced to him, only by name, from a fan. Man was I missing out! This is an amazing album from start to finish and back again (and again)!
  • This album showcases his brilliance

His songwriting was, for lack of a better term, undermined by the influence of Truckers as a band. He had the ability to truly showcase his skills since then and to me this was his best effort. The difficult topics like Yvette are graced with passion and leave you spell bound. What a great album!!
  • One of the best albums ever. Timeless, brilliant.

This album will be a classic for decades. A songwriters clinic, and a players woodshed workbook. Epic.

I have had this album for awhile, but never took the time to write a review. I love every song on this album. I listen to it all the time. One of the best musicians in the modern era, period.
