It clearly states in the description that The End is edited and shortened, you can also see the 6 minute runtime. If you failed to notice this and still bought it, that's on you.

People, ITunes is not the only game in town. If you want the unedited version of Break on Through and The End go to Amazon. Maybe ITunes will get the message......

In “Break On Through” the lyrics go: “Everybody loves my baby, she gets HIGH!” Not: “She gets ——“ Please stop the puritanical nonsense. She gets HIGH, she gets HIGH.

The version of "The End" on this is taken from the Apocolypse Now soundtrack, complete with the helicopter noises from the film's opening frames. Rather than provide the full version of the song, this is a truncated version that is closer to Coppola's film than the original song. If this were the Apocolypse Now soundtrack, I'd have no issues with that. But if this is an "essential" Doors hit, iTunes owes it to buyers to provide the actual song as originally released. Fortunately I was refunded my money after I complained!

And if you purchased this after seeing THE END was on it and didn’t look at the run time of 6 min and DIDNT THINK TO YOURSELF ‘that’s pretty short” has never heard the song version you were expecting and knowing it’s well over 11 minutes long or just oblivious to time

I bought "The End" from this album and unfortunately they cut out the end of "The End". This is unacceptable. The only way you can buy a full version of "The End" is if you buy an entire album, which I would do if other songs on the album were not censored. For example, the word "high" is taken out of "Break on Through". PLEASE FIX THIS ITUNES!! I am an adult and should be able to purchase uncensored music. Perhaps we should get Dee Snider involved??

DO NOT SPEND $20 like I just did in error. There is another version of this Doors Essentials that contains the entire version of The End and When the Music’s Over. I made the mistake of not comparing the 2 versions in more detail before I said YES & I refuse to spend another $20.00 primarily because Apple wants to force you into buying the entire recording vs individual downloads. I am going to file a complaint but I don’t except any help from Apple. iTunes purchases are typically one & done..if you screw up too bad. You know I have a house full of Apple products but it’s these cheapskate tactics that infuriate me. Apple prides themselves on Customer Service…….but forcing you to buy & no refund on iTunes is pretty much monopoly 101
