All I hear is knuckleheads on an 808, a cartoonish hook or catch phrase, and no hip hop in the rapping . . . just ghetto chatter. Thank god for Ludacris, Jay-Z, and anyone produced by Dr. Dre (i.e. 50 Cent). Where are the innovative groups like Das EFX. Hey, iTunes - we need the remix of 'They Want EFX'.

I like old school rap, but when people start sayin' that todays rap is "crappy" and that this is how it should be, I say, rap has evolved into the music and the sound of this generation, start liking both sides of it like me, and don't start throwin' statements out like that just b/c you grew up listenin to this

Das EFX were some of the best MC's to help bring back the flow to the East Coast in the early 90's when Dr. Dre and the entire Death Row family were dominating the commercial Hip Hop music scene. They Want EFX is huge but the remix is even better. Real Hip Hop.

This is truly a classic, I bought this album when it came out in the early 90's and it's still is one of my favorite. Das were ground breakers in their sounds and style of rap delivery back in those days and still is today. It's too bad that they're not together anymore, but Dray has his solo album out and it's called Dray the Hip Hop Rockstar. Can't find it on Itunes though, but isn't that true, you know it's good when you have to go dig for it.
