I personally found the music to this movie so mesmerizing and soothing that I bought the soundtrack. When our first son was born in 1990 and was teething and crying, I found that playing this soundtrack (minus Boomerang) ALWAYS put him to sleep. I tried it on our second son in 1994--same result. I have recommended this album to numerous new parents ever since and all have said it works wonders. It is just plain and eerily relaxing. As music, it's multi-textures--synth, harmonics, keyboard, and varying dynamics are just unique--certainly for their time and even today, 21 years later. Highly recommended for the kiddies or you (Also a very romantic choice.)

The album is easy listening New Age music good to relax to, with the expection of Boomerang which is fun upbeat Motown/Rock song and other than being in the movie , does not belong with the rest of the CD.
