I'll admit, it took me a while to process the slight change in Brown Bird's style since 'Salt for Salt'. I've since gotten into this album and 'Axis Mundi', and would but both albums in their entirety if I had the iTunes money to spare. As it is, I'm content with the drive and intensity of "Seven Hells".

They just keep getting better. Salt for Salt was great but Fits of Reason blows it away. See them live!

This album is most certainly different, but that is why Brown Bird is one of my favorite bands. I love that with each album they try different things and Fits of Reason is no exception. The different styles they blend together works extremely well and really helps to define them. There really is no other bands out their with this kind of unique sound. The new album is awesome from what I've heard and I can't wait to go to the CD release party in April!!
