I've been listening to King for a while now and it always comes down to this album. Kings stories are great full of erie detail and great freaking metal, this album on the other had is something else all together. The story keeps me captivated from beginning to end every time I listen actually could believe that there really is a puppet show in Budapest like this. Kings dedication to his work and Livia's female vocals come together to make in my opinion the best King Diamond album ever. I would seriously love to see this in like a Vegas show or dare I say big screen either way the end of the album leaves me wanting more and for the time being at least it hard to listen to anything else. Also my three kids love the album too every time we listen they can't help but sing along I've even heard my four year old singing blue eyes to herself while playing. King Diamond Rules!!!! \m/>_<\m/

I might be a little biased....but I love just about everything the King puts out and this is no exception. In fact, this is one of my favorite albums. Well written, well played and well executed overall, I hear no flaws to complain about. It is unfortunate that iTunes decided to use a reviewer who would be better suited to discuss garbage like Maroon 5 or Dinosaur Jr. Clearly this person should stay away from reviewing metal.

The Puppet Master is truly in my opinion the best album he has created. Im not however calling Them or Abigail terrable, there both GREAT albums but in the Puppet Master King really takes a new approach. The story is amazing, a rollercoaster ride of emotion.......starting with the grim preset Midnight to the enchanted and lovely feel of Magic...and the dark heavey Horror Show that is the Ritual... So Sad comes in and pulls at the heart strings of the listener and Christmas gives the feel of a bittersweet victory. The music is amazing with King and Livia Zita on vocals which gives a new approach to this album that helps convey the story all the much better....... as i said, in my opinion this is King's best work

I started listening to king only a few months ago. Out of all the albums, my current favorites are them and abigail(i've listened the darn things too many times). Some of king's albums arent great, but this one truly is. Just like them and abigail, this album as a whole, a lot more than its parts. The story is very good,at some points it really gets spooky. Anyway, as always the music is exceptional, and as other people have stated, king uses a little less his high falsetto(be it good or bad). I recommend this one to anyone interested in kings stuff.
