I bought this album because I heard Lura was coming to perform at my university. I happen to love Portuguese and the Lusophone world. Lura's music, in her Crioulo is AMAZING. The lyrics, the rhythms all go beautifully together. She's also amazing live, you're lucky enough to have the chance, go see her!

This is some of the most amazing music I've heard. You can't call it Reggae, Latin, Brazillian, or any other "put it in this genre" type of music. Even though I can't understand the words, I can feel the emotion in her words and I can understand what emotion she is conveying. This is truly universal music, and I hope she gets more exposure here in the states.

Lura is one of the new and exciting voices in Cape Verdean music. Her music touches the soul even though many may not understand her language. Kudos to iTunes for supporting this talented capeverdian artist! Buy this CD, you won't be disappointed. The most requested track on this CD when I DJ is Na Ri Na, but this album explores every CV musical genre.
