Reading the reviews were very interesting....yes, we used to see Lydia and Tower of Power and great bands like them at Frenchy's in Hayward back in the late 60's....the smallest stage with so many people on that stage.....it just shook as you were dancing and sweating to awesome music.....it was great then and great now in 2013!! Some things just never die............thank God.

Had this in my album collection, but was destroyed in a fire. I so glad I was able to purchase it again.

I first saw this band at the Fountain Bleau in Rochester New York in the early 70's. I went right out and bought the album. Lydia's vocals and the horns and the whole bands music is timeless. The memories I have when I listen to this album are treasured. I'm so glad I was there watching them in that club. They are more than awesome!

I'll never forget the first time I heard this album. I was absolutely electrified. I had the pleasure of seeing Lydia Pense and Cold Blood live several times in San Francisco and Los Angeles in the mid 1970's. The audience went wild every time. Lydia Pense is absolutely the best female singer of her time. The musicians were superb. They had the best horn section going with a really tight rhythn section. Definitely get the whole ablbum as every song is good. My favorite is the Sam & Dave song, "You Got Me Hummin". You'll love this album!

I am 15 years old and I was luckily introduced to Cold Blood by a musician friend I have. I am so happy I know who they are because they have opened a whole new relm of music for myself. I am a singer, and Lydia's amazing vocals are enough to make you jump out of your chair. She is insane and should have a lot more worldwide recognition for her talents, as well as for the rest of Cold Blood. The mix of jazz fusion and rock the sultry and harmonious sounds make for the perfect band who never disappoint. I really am glad they have a new album and their presence in the music world is very inspiring. Cold Blood is legendary.

I will never forget going to see my cousins in this band.....they we're the twins on sax and trumpet. They have performed with Santana and Miles Davis. Those we're the days.......I was just a kid, but I could appreciate their soulfulness........and Lydia Pense is just a tiny sexy little thing that could spell bound you into a trance........as bold as Joplin...............smokey, sultry, and has staying power. The sound of cold blood is timeless.

I remember hearing this album for the first time. The sheer power of the horn section bowled me over. Then the singer smacked me in the chops and I knew this was a special band. If you are wise enough to buy this album, start with track 4 and let it play through track 5. "I Just Want To Make Love. . ." followed by "I'm A Good Woman" is one of the best 1-2 punches you will ever hear. In fact, it won't seem right to hear one without the other following it. This is hard-driving, real music performed by top-flight musicians who somehow delivered one of their best albums right from the start. Highly recommended along with their masterpiece, "First Taste Of Sin".
