Trixie not only can sing but she is also a multi-instrumentalist. I enjoy listening to all her music. Her father would be so proud.
Thanks Trixie for giving us the fans some great music!!

I am an urban black american, and I was looking for suggestions through iTunes and came across this soul grasping work of art! My GOD, I was barely able to get past the first couple of songs before I became enthralled with her spirit. I can tell you that I haven't heard to many artist feel their music, but this women sing from the depth of her soul. Every song gave me a felling like I was listening to the ocean slamming against shore softly yet rapidly. I had this cd since January 2013 and not until recenetly have I started to actively listen to it.This album is AWESOME in my book!
- Best new Album of 2013 so far …

Listen to some of the samples (e.g. Pieces, Fourth Corner) … and then GO AHEAD AND GET IT! Seriously … it's THAT GOOD!
- Easily the best CD of the year

Trixie's voice is as sublime as her songwriting. Love "Silent Rebel", "Hotel No Name", and "Fourth Corner". No weakling songs on this CD - her music is pure soul. The EPs are also gems. May she only grow stronger. Thank you for the music, Trixie !
- Soul poured into every note, lyric, and riff

It's refreshing to listen to a singer who really puts her emotion into her music. Trixie combines that with a very bluesy tone and it makes for one incredible listening pleasure
- Much improved . . .

Trixie whitley has become a much much better singer. Her previous work with Black Dub was insufferably generic and predictable -- her voice sounds good on the surface but she has a limited range and the repetition wears itself out very quickly. However, she has considerably reigned in her overtly-souly breathing and trite inflections, showing greater control with sustained notes that help distinguish her voice from seemingly enless line of soul pyrotechnic singers who are oddly souless. She is no longer overselling her voice, packing soul-mellodrama into every phrase. Being rather young she has yet to truly find herself as an artist, but this album shows considerable growth. The music is both forward thinking and some of it is well crafted, but it is also madningly homogeneous. The album as a whole has really only one mood and one feel and there are very few colors. But with a strong set of distinguished songs and a bit more mileage on her voice she may become a genuinely great artist.
- Great Debut
