Blue Sky Paradise

Amazingly inspiring album.

It's amazing how these songs hold so much emotions. In one of his interviews, Billy mentions how he does not like to filter his music, but instead keep the imperfections, which I believe adds to the genius behind his music

I came here after listening to Billy Boyd's amazing song from The Battle of the Five Armies. Whatever I expected it wasn't this; a twisted, half sarcastic, half lovely collection of songs that are more varied than most albums available. This is the definition of an Indie Band. If you enjoy that type of thing, come hither if you dare.

Too tired to write a comprehensive review but this is one of my favorite albums definitely worth checking out. Definitely relaxing music.

My love for this band grows more and more with each song. They're surprisingly haunting and powerful. They've done it again!

Pippin was always my favorite character in the books and I've always been so happy with the casting choice of Billy Boyd, in fact I wish he were in more films/tv because I think he's a wonderful actor. However it was only recently that I learned he had a band and I can't believe I didn't start listening sooner! This album, along with the Soul Swimming album also available on itunes is amazing! My personal favorite off this album is This Happening - super catchy tune! But Lost Direction from the previous album is my favorite song of theirs. If you haven't already, please buy this album (and their other one) and support the guys. It will be more than worth your money. I just wish they were more well known - and that they would come play in America more often!

Beecake have a original and charming sound and with the release of Blue Sky Paradise they reaffirm that they are here to stay with their unique sound. Amazing album. A must buy for any lover of their first album and for those great unique music explorers.

Billy Boyd, the lead singer of Beecake, his voice is that of an angel! I fell in love with Beecake's Soul Swimming album, and I've been a huge fan since. If you love their beautiful music, then Blue Sky Paradise will not only meet your expectations, but go above and beyond. I cannot stop listening to this new album! I didn't think they could match Soul Swimming, but they did! It has a bit of a different sound, but that's to be expected; but an amazing kind of different. There's just more added to Blue Sky Paradise in terms of musical instrument/sound backing, in my opinion, anyways. But, it is the Beecake we know and love just with a darker sounding side. I have to say, Beecake has a inherent talent for storytelling. They tell stories through music which people can relate to, which makes it all the better. Their music captures mind, body and soul with their majestic lyrics. I would highly recommend Blue Sky Paradise for anyone who has enjoyed and loved Beecake's previous albums! While this album has more of a somber undertone, it is smashingly brilliant, both lyrically and instrumentally. Blue Sky Paradise is a masterpiece and I absolutely love it with all my heart! I am definitely looking forward to following Beecake and their career because they are an incredible band! I am hoping that they make it to Boston sometime soon(:
