  • Rich, invaluable source of Brasilian jazz guitar (comping)

the whole album is absolutely beautiful. luciana souza is a singer of the highest order, with a perfect blend of chops and breath taking emotion. as a guitarist, i have to say that this album is a prime example of what brazilian guitar playing, or comping, should sound like. tenacious playing, incredible dynamics, TONE!!!!, chops, incredible chord vocabulary and knowledge of the instrument. in short, romero lumbambo is magnificient. this would make raphael rabello proud. if you're not a musician (specifically a guitarist), get it anyway. it's some of the most beautiful music in the world......seriously. if you are a musician (specifically a guitarist), this should be the next addition to your music library. go do it.

I got her first song Muita bobeira with the purchase of my PC and since then I just loved her voice. We have a Radio Station in Puerto Rico that has a program just of Samba and is great to be on the Puerto Rican Coast with these music sight seeing the sea and all our interesting places.. Lovely voice.

Very nice, but not jazz. For genre I would change to 'alternative'.

I learned of Luciana through a friend who had tickets to a concert. After hearing her in concert, I definitely a fan. She sang songs from her "North & South", "Neruda", and some from this album. Her voice and style are beautiful and sultry, even in uptempo songs. Although I really enjoy the recorded stuff, she definitely does much better renditions in person. I fell in love with "I Shall Wait" from the "North & South" album live because her live version was great. Definitely a special addition to any collection.

I simply cannot believe how alluring her voice is. Wonderful interplay between her and her guitarists makes this a keeper. She has such a purely sexy voice that I cannot believe my ears. She is a true discovery waiting to happen. Why haven't I heard of her before?

Listen to Você, Trocando Em Miúdos & Muita Bobeira. Her Music is an equal mixture of Samba, Jazz & Classical.
