    I discovered John Lowell & his beautiful guitar flatpicking in 1992 or 93 at a Bozeman, MT concert when his band Wheel Hoss opened for the young Alison Kraus & Union Station. I've been his fan ever since, following his music thru Wheel Hoss, Deep River (who closed out the first Last Chance Bluegrass Festival I organized with select Helena, MT business people in 1995), his duets with Ben Winship (Loose Ties), and now this solo effort. Great job John--I love your ballads & your interpretations of traditional tunes. Keep picking/recording--you're the best, IMHO.
