You like metal? This band will give you metal. This album has it all; guitars rifting with a lot of riffering shenanigans, drums drumming until your ears bleed, bass bassing it up like some crazed psycho ex, screaming until you can't focus and growling that takes you to eargasm central. You thought you were buying some 38 special? NO! While 38 special rockin' it into the night Abiotic is giving you solid as your mother on a Saturday night metalling eargasming good time. Buy it. Listen to it. Melt your friends faces off with it. Then spread that love like a finely tuned genteel specimen of hardcore metal that it is.

  • Another breakdown?

Tons of unique and interesting riffs ruined by too many breakdowns. Are we sick of breakdowns yet metal fans? I know I am.

Abiotic has been ranking top of the charts for one of those quickly emerging bands that everyone seems to love. The Vermosapien video was hit and really got them out there nicely. That video is the reason I listen to them today. Symbiosis, don't get me wrong, is a great album. But really isn't NEW, so to speak. I was really expecting a new album from these guys. Not just "A Universal Plague" with three new songs. I was really excited for a full-length that really goes by definition of full-length. But in the end, all the songs on here are great without a doubt. I just really wish these guys stepped up to the plate and knocked out a full new album. I mean they seemed to have "Facades" ready for awhile now. So I would've liked more writing along the way. Also, may I say, the mixing and mastering did get better… BUT, I have one complaint… Where's Abiotic's good ol' bass tone I remember?! I really miss the satisfaction of that tone that got me more into their songs. I think they should've kept the old bass tone. Too bland now. But all in all, good album. BUY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE "A Universal Plague". THERE IS NO NEED TO BUY BOTH THE EP AND THE FULL-LENGTH!

This a fantasic band and this album kickass, but there are only 2 or 3 new songs here. The rest are from their EP, "A Universal Plague" that came out early last year. I would have given this 3 stars for that but I gave it one more because the old songs are re-recorded, so the band is not entirely lazy. But if yopu never heard the EP go ahead and buy, you wont be disapointed.
