- Not bad at all...

There might be one or, maybe, two misses on this album, but it is still really solid. I am not quite sure that I would say that it sounds like Marcus Miller's work in a recognizable way. My only desire with Patches' solo work is that he would break loose and hit it constantly, which does happen every now and again. "Blow" with the subwoofers on high is...just nice, real nice. All in all, this is a highly recommended album.

Ok, so me and my friends are listening to this CD and i ask them to identify whom there listening to. All but one thought it was a Marcus Miller CD. The other thought it was Kenny Garret playing with M.Millers band. What does that tell you? Patches, you need to play a little more up front and find someone other than Marcus to produce your music. Patches has no discernable sound. More like a studio musician that plays well but has no identifiable chops. This joint will be great for the non musician who wants to snap their fingers and think they are listening to some hip jazz but for the rest of us its major let down. "Blow" is pt. 2 of what could'nt be crammed on the latest Marcus Miller Joint.

I've been following this Patches Stewart for several years, especially his work with Marcus Miller, who produced this CD. Since Miller has written and produced music for many music legends, including Miles Davis and Luther Vandross, his "seal of approval" by producing for this artist speaks volumes. This is his Stewart's third CD, and there is truly something for everyone on this collection. My personal favorite is Bed Time Story, which sends me to a dreamy, ethereal place every time I hear it. Check it out.
