OK, I don't even remember what got me started listenining to Lennon but whatever it is, it was a blessing. I was lucky enough to see her live around the time of this release and have to say she didn't dissapoint. This album is raw emotion and pure awesomeness rolled into one.

The review above leaves out the most important fact (at least to me) that this is a very well-written album, both lyrically and musically. Lennon not only sounds just fine without the band, but rather uses this work to show you that, behind all the nu-metal noise and Garbage-grunge, there are some powerful words. This album allows Lennon to flex her muscle as a songwriter and show you that she is not just some metal goth chick. This is proven not only by the stripped versions of songs previously found on "5:30 Saturday Morning" (like the hit "Brake of Your Car") but on new releases as well. The first few verses of "Main Gravel Road," a new release, play out like a film or novel that is as meaningful as anything you would find in a Fiona Apple or Harry Chapin song. "Career Suicide" slaps the faces of people that passed over "5:30 Saturday Morning," like myself, and forces you to listen again.

i love her nu-metal songs but this album i have had for couple years i just forgot to review it. her music is something different from the radio music. it has this sound to it as if she was sitting right there infront of you with a guitar and a paino and singing your emotions to you. i hope lennon does this again with her up coming album this year.

The Official review for this album is overly critical. She took a big chance on this offering by going in a completly different direction from her first album, but it solidified me as a fan by showing her "balls" to do something different, as well as show off her voice (which I think is very beautiful). I wasn't sure about the remakes from the first album until I heard them, and i was floored. I'm not a technical reviewer by any means, I go by what sounds good to me, and almost every one of these songs are on some play list of mine.
