An exceptional effort from a very talented artist. This record, co-produced by Butterfly herself, outshines most things coming out of major label studios. Butterfly has blended rock, pop, and dance seamlessly here. The songs take unexpected turns that keep the listener interested, without being clunky or forced. This record is an example of what's right with the music industry.

The gorgeous and talented Ms. Butterfly Boucher has returned with a fresh album and a fresh vibe. Laden with hand percussion, fuzzy guitars, analog synths, and chamber reverb, the album takes the '60s retro' sound that's so overplayed these days and tempers it with the well-crafted hooks, introspective lyrics, and powerful vocals we've come to expect from this artist. Destined for heavy-rotation on the iPod.

Great songs, great arrangements, great listening. If you are new to Miss Boucher, buy the first two albums as well. You will not be disappointed.

Her voice is absolutely gorgeous and I love listening to it, and yet I can honestly say that I listen mainly because of the instrumental.

An artist in true form. Singer, song writter, producer, performer and to top it all off, a guine person who knows how to capture the moments in life. The instrumentals and melodies aloneare enough to move you, but once the lyrics hit you...you are a gonner!!! BAM...another BB fan is born. Thanks Butterfly. It was well worth the wait!!!

Such a wonderful album full of raw talent and beautiful vocals. Each song is so precise, well executed, and catchy that I don't even realize I listened to it 20 times on repeat. I cannot describe how happy I was with this purchase as it is not too often I come across an artist that I enjoy every song they produce. Five stars for fantastic!! Keep it coming Miss Boucher! =)

I received my first Butterfly Boucher CD ‘Flutterby’ as a pass-a-long back in 2004. “This new singer is right up your alley” I was told. I replied positively as I thought at the same time about how ‘new edgy female indie/adult alternative artists’ were already a-dime-a-dozen. (And that was back then) Nevertheless, I gave it a good listen, and then another, and very soon I found myself thinking how really good it was, no, how great it was and how suddenly I was totally enthralled with it. Butterfly has this moody yet comfortable tonality and a depth of content that most similarly hailed artists simply do not or cannot possess. But then, I had a very long wait on my hands. There was a messy prolonged split with her label, more waiting, and then finally an excellent follow-up album. I missed getting to see her initial tour with her musical compatriots from Ten-out-of Tenn. but was very lucky to see the tour to promote the second Butterfly production ‘Scary Fragile’. And believe me, Ms. Boucher is the fan’s quintessential stage performer, and an absolute pleasure to meet in person. Now, her third endeavor has finally arrived and I am so pleased to have it for my eagerly awaiting ears! There is a warm and playful opening that draws the listener comfortably in and then she hits you with profound evocative songs backed by strong harmonies and smart musical accompaniments letting you know that substance actually still exists in music. And you’ll love the closing song, completely indicative of Butterfly’s overarching style and filled with longingly reflective emotions. In all the right ways. All the way thorough this self-titled third album holds strong and does not disappoint in the least. To say I recommend it would be an understatement.

It was worth the wait. All the songs are good, but I love the first single!
