This record has dethroned Grimes "Visions" as my AotY front-runner. This album is this band's "The Bends." I'm very excited to see if they will pull out their masterpiece in their next record. Who would've predicted that the best album to come out of Baltimore this year wasn't from Beach House? This is brilliant work. It's a definite must buy.

What happened to the abundance of fuzzed out guitars and awesome drumming!? After releasing a string of great singles they completely changed their sound on this LP- a bit of a let down.

this is a bit different from their previous album, but it's definitely a great step forward. darker and more subtle yet textured and layered. overall awesome.
