David has again managed to touch my soul in the deepest sense. His music is always transcendental, ephemeral, and almost surreal. It is a juxtaposition of lightness and complexity. If you really STOP!, and listen to his Piano creations the music transports you to the places it describes in the title of the song. I love to imagine Tokyo, Tanalot (one of my favs.), MIami Beach, and the song, Not Here, gives you the freedom to imagine your dream destination. As I listen to "Where in the World is Diane," I simply close my eyes and let the creative threads of my imagination unravel.

I was given this album as a gift and didn't know what to expect - especially since listening to piano seems to be a rare occurrence for most people (including for me) these days. What I found was a really joyful surprise - that I loved listening to David Rivera's music which, to me, is both calming and uplifting. I now find myself playing his music in my car all the time. I would encourage anyone and everyone to listen to and enjoy this cd.

Where in the world is Diane - this collection will move your soul emotionally. You can feel the expression of passion in every note. One more example of the extraordinary depth and breadth of this (as yet) largely undiscovered talent! Keep them coming David! If you enjoy this music then I would highly recommend 'Piano in Color' or any of David's previous masterpieces.

David's music is so beautiful to listen to as it transports you to a calm, serene state. A great CD for dinner music or relaxation with a glass of wine. I've enjoyed all of his CDs and can't recommend them enough.

David dedicated this music to me I am honored to hear him play live. These are his words that better explain this work. Diane is traveling I sit at the piano and I imagine her Like a beautiful song she is music Because only movement creates beauty Love and music So I compose to Diane my beauty my love my music these songs This album features a variety of extraordinary piano pieces that come from the heart of the composer. This is not the same old slow sappy piano. David Rivera's piano is highly melodic yet subtly rhythmical. His signature style of music evokes happiness. The piano pieces featured here were composed while Diane was traveling. The composer imagines where in the world she may be and then creates a musical amalgamation of his current feelings, his imaginings of her travels, and his longing for her return. This collection is highly varied, incorporating musical elements from neoclassicism to minimalism. This album showcases David Rivera's signature performance and style that always manages to bring the listener to smile and relax while savoring soft melodies, enticing patterns, unexpected intervals, and forward-moving stories. Considering modern society's perhaps forgotten need for true melodies and peaceful yet highly interesting music, this album truly delivers.
