View from a Southern Porch is much more than a Jazz- Country recording. It is a piece of art that captures many landscapes and stirs up many emotions. JBJ has once again made a statement with View from a Southern Porch. That he is truley an American Treasure.

JBJ is so brilliant on this album...I believe it's is best to date. Sounds like he has found his 'voice' with the style of music that he was born to play. Cannot wait for the next album...

This guy is my favorite interpreter of music that comes from the heart. I have all his records (6 in total) and all of them are great. I hope he'll continue to produce such wonderful music. John, you really know how to do it, please do it again ! ! !

John Barlow Jarvis is right up there in the league of Floyd Cramer for fantastic country piano specials and has that special touch for note bending blends. Most albums have standout cuts and "A Southern Porch" in this one is a classic, as was "In The Moment" from a previous album (Whatever Works). If you like piano background music for dinner, reading, entertaining, etc., this is a winner and you'll not be disappointed.
