I just have to say that Penatonix just freaking blows my mind every week. They have terrific control and absolute precision. They bring it all to the table every week as well. I seriously hope they win, because in my opinion they totally deserve it.

I think that each of the groups have strengths that make them amazing in different ways. Each group, each week, finds a new way to change things up, and if you've never done this type of music, then you will never understand just how difficult it is. They each have had their moments of weakness or inconsistency, but I am sure the nerves and the demands are a great deal of the problem. Its one thing to be strong AFTER you win, but in trying to win, nerves are natural. All of that being said, their has only been one group that I have dropped my jaw over several times, and it was in reference to them NOT going home. First let me say, I am a fan of jazz music, but I am a fan of other genres as well. Listening to the other groups, they have taken their challenges and even when not familiar with the genre, they have come close and done well. Afro Blue has totally torn apart several songs, not just in trying to make everything jazz, but in arrangement in general. I was shocked when the lead singer of Delilah did such a stellar job on rock classics and got sent home. I say each time though that AB will be chosen to stay over the rest, only because the judges are sold on them. These groups and the audience are told that they must show versatility. that is why they give them different genres, AB has ONE. They each can put their "spin" on the tune to make it theirs, but it should be better or at best recognizable. The ONLY song that they did that I was impressed with was I Need You Now, and if they stuck to that process and showcased their voices, they would be good. The unfortunate thing is that really good groups that would sell CDs are being and will be sent home, they will be kept and you will not have the opportunity to vote for the ones you would have chosen. I think the voting should be turned over to the public or at least have an impact, at least from the top six. With the ones left if Pentatonix doesn't win for sure now, there is really something wrong!

I think they must sing a-cappella in heaven. All these groups are terrific. They all deserve recording contracts. I'm particularly mesmerized by Pentatonix.
  • Judges Really?

Really judges r u stupid? Sending Delilah over Afro blue home ur crazy!!! Every week delilah took chances n killed it with all different types of genres afro blue only does jazz and every week complained that there at a disadvantage this week blah blah blah. But even wen they got to do jazz they still sounded bad i thought they were going to go the first week. So ofcourse the judges had to be tougher on delilah cuz they felt bad for fricken afro blue. As for Delilah DONT BREAK UP!!! Alot of times after this competition the groups break up dont! Ur voices r amazing together n alot of people think so your voices r so powerful(:
  • I WANT the FIRST THREE SECONDS of LIFE IS A HIGHWAY!!

Ok, I LOVE this album, can't stop listening. I think it might have been my favorite sing off week thus far (which is saying a lot since I am not normally a country person). I think they sent the wrong group since I thought the judges were way too critical of Delilah's country song, and not critical enough of Afro Blue's. But enough, it was bound to happen soon. It just annoys me that week after week Afro Blue keeps trying to shy away from the real challenge and keep changing the song just enough to not really have to go out of their comfort zone. There are some really great covers on here. BUT.. Where are the first few seconds of the vocal point's "Life is a Highway" song itunes. it totally makes the beginning and start of the song. WHY did you cut it...!!!!!

Afro Blue is heads & tails above the other groups this season. 1 week the judges say they're 2 complex, then the next week tell them they're not being themselves & giving us the complexity they're known 4. Their harmonies are just sick! Pentatonix is the only group that can hang with them. There just seems 2 be a push 2 play down AB & elevate the other groups. The Dartmouth guys are sickening, & Urban Method keeps skating by 4 some reason. If AB doesn't win something's wrong. I can stomach Pentatonix winning, but other than that it's no contest! This is me & I approve this message.
